Dr. Wasmansdorff (*1954) is Managing Director of Germanischer Lloyd in Asia/Pacific and based in Shanghai.
He joined Germanischer Lloyd in January 2006 after his career in the field of industrial engineering, working in Asia for more than 10 years. He has his professional roots and PhD in mechanical/process engineering.
Dr. Wasmansdorff is directing his special focus towards customers in the Asia/Pacific region where he is extending the services of GL to moving closer to the clients with a number of new offices. He is a driving force behind the internationalisation of GL, a task that brings technical expertise and extended local services to GL clients directly out of the offices in Asia/Pacific.
